Product Care

Care for my brass jewelry, silver jewelry, copper jewelry and white brass jewelry is quite simple.  These metals are similar in that they can tarnish or oxidize.  The great thing about it is that you can polish them back to their shiny self.  I am going to share my easy way to polish these different types of metal jewelry.  If you however enjoy the look of the brass patina then your body jewelry will naturally get that colored patina look.  We do antique our brass septum rings, brass ear weights as well as our tribal brass earrings.

Method of Polishing our brass body jewelry as well as the white brass, rose brass, copper and sterling silver.

Use a dab of toothpaste and rub it around on the piece of brass body jewelry for a few seconds.  Then let it sit for a minute or two.  Using an old toothbrush polish off the paste and your brass body jewelry will be back to its normal shiny state.  Wipe clean with clean cloth or paper towel.  This is also a way that you do not have to go out and buy polishing creme and it is not a strong chemical to affect a piercing or your skin. I hope this info helps.

Care for our organic jewelry is pretty easy as well.  Our wood body jewelry and our buffalo horn jewelry is not sealed or dipped in epoxy or anything like that so they are in their natural state and are porous (meaning absorbing) so you would need to try to keep these items out of contact with liquids to really preserve the item and extend the life of the piece.  You can use a little oil to shine them up a little bit when needed.  Just not too much and then wipe dry after oiling the wood or horn jewelry.  Again I hope this info helps you.
